Varios han sido los logros de científicos que estudian las propiedades del cannabis, entre estos existen tratamientos que han demostrado, al menos en algunas personas, un gran beneficio para sus males.
La reunión se llevó a cabo en el Centro de Convenciones de Pasadena (California), varios médicos presentaron sus últimos estudios sobre el cannabis y hubo aforo completo, no sólo por personas que ya trabajan en la industria, pero también gente joven, universitarios que quieren especializarse en esta rama.
Los expertos en la conferencia CannMed señalaron que se está presentando una gran diferencia en pacientes con Alzheimer, diabetes y dolores crónicos.
Añadieron que últimamente se han hecho estudios en niños con epilepsia y han visto una reducción dramática en las convulsiones, alrededor de un 80%, según comentó uno de los patrocinadores del evento que colabora con los médicos encargados de estos estudios. Lo más sorprendente, es que se trata de menores que habían mostrado resistencia a otros tratamientos y medicamentos en el mercado. Todo esto podría tener un impacto mayor en la industria farmacéutica.
Entre las personas que acudieron al evento de dos días, hubo trabajadores de fabricantes de productos de cannabis que aseguran que se necesita más información para personas de la tercera edad, pues muchos tienen una opinión negativa sobre esta planta, pero del lado opuesto están los universitarios que incluso están buscando empleos en esta rama.
Muchos creen que esta podría ser la solución para muchas enfermedades, pero por ahora se necesitan muchos estudios para conocer mejor tanto las aplicaciones como las dosis para cada enfermedad.

Many believe that this could be the solution for many diseases, but for now many studies are needed to better understand both the applications and the doses for each disease.
