Los ciudadanos mayores de 21 años de Israel, podrán con el nuevo proyecto de ley se despenalizaría hasta la posesión de 50 gramos de marihuana. Y también legalizaría completamente hasta un consumo máximo de 15 gramos diarios.

Israel se ha puesto en marcha para llegar a la legalización del cannabis recreativo. El primer obstáculo para que el proyecto de ley salga adelante ya ha sido superado. Este domingo se aprobó por parte del Comité Ministerial de Legislación el proyecto de ley que legaliza el consumo de cannabis.

Se espera, después de la decisión del Comité, que el proyecto se convierta en Ley. Esto haría que los israelíes mayores de 21 años pudiesen adquirir cannabis o sus derivados en comercios autorizados. Eso sí, el cultivo en casa seguiría siendo ilegal con la nueva ley.

La nueva legislación propuesta también reformará y actualizará la actual ley sobre el cannabis medicinal.

“Por primera vez en la historia del Estado de Israel, mi medida legislativa está comenzando oficialmente a regular el mercado de cannabis en Israel”, comentó Likud MK Sharren Haskel,  uno de los patrocinadores de la nueva ley, el diputado Ram Shefa, de Blue and White.  “Estoy orgulloso de traer buenas noticias a más de un millón de consumidores de cannabis y a decenas de miles de personas enfermas”.

Hoy miércoles, se presentará en el Parlamento israelí, Knesset, para su primera votación de tres que necesita para ser aprobada la ley.

En los últimos tiempos, Israel ha buscado que el cannabis medicinal esté disponible para sus ciudadanos que lo necesiten. Éstos, habían emitido quejas por su difícil acceso y por la poca cantidad de dispensarios disponibles.

También Israel,  quiere ser un importante país exportador y para ello está poniendo las bases de esta prometedora industria.

Israel´s citizens over the age of 21 will be able to decriminalize the possession of 50 grams of marijuana with the new bill. And it would also completely legalize up to a maximum consumption of 15 grams per day.

Israel has launched to reach the legalization of recreational cannabis. The first obstacle for the bill to go ahead has already been overcome. This Sunday the bill that legalizes the consumption of cannabis was lost by the Ministerial Committee on Legislation.

After the Committee´s decision, the bill is expected to become Law. This would allow Israelis over the age of 21 to purchase cannabis or its derivatives in affected stores. Mind you, home growing would still be illegal under the new law.
The proposed new legislation will also reform and update the current medical cannabis law.

"For the first time in the history of the State of Israel, my legislative measure is officially starting a regular cannabis market in Israel," said Likud MK Sharren Haskel, one of the sponsors of the new law, MP Ram Shefa of Blue and white. "I am proud to bring good news to more than a million cannabis users and tens of miles of sick people."

Today, Wednesday, he will appear in the Israeli Parliament, Knesset, for his first of three votes that the law needs to pass.

In recent times, Israel has sought to make medical cannabis available to its citizens who need it. The latter had issued complaints due to their difficult access and the limited number of dispensaries available.

Israel, too, wants to be an important exporting country and for this it is laying the foundations for this promising industry.
