Ya hemos hablado en muchas ocasiones del cannabinoide mas conocido y considerado mas terapéutico, el CBD. Por supuesto el THC también es conocido y terapéutico pero no es legal aún en casi todo el mundo. Hoy queremos poner nuestra vista sobre otro que se está empezando a mostrar todas sus cualidades , el CBG.
El CBG se conoce desde 1960 cuando se descubrió que era el precursor de el resto de los cannabinoides, por esa razón se le conoce como "La madre de todos los cannabinoides". En las mayorías de las variedades en los primeros estadios de la floración de la planta solo producirá CBG para después ajustarse al resto. Afortunadamente ya hay variedades que producen grandes cantidades de CBG y que no llegan a modificarse a otros tipos.
Esto es importante porque apenas se está empezando a descubrir el potencial terapéutico de este cannabinoide. Por un lado tenemos que, al igual que el CBD, no es psicotrópico, que parece tener propiedades neuroprotectoras, en los primeros estudios se está mostrando como un potente antibacteriano, antifúngico y antiinflamatorio. Parece también ser útil en el tratamiento de trastornos gastrointestinales y en la reducción de la presión intraocular en pacientes con glaucoma. Como todos los cannabinoides apunta a que puede ayudar en la lucha contra el cáncer .
Todo esto hace que los investigadores estén poniendo todo su interés en descubrir todas su particularidades, si al final se van demostrando que sus beneficios terapéuticos son tan amplios como parece tendríamos una herramienta médica de primer orden sin los problemas de producción, distribución y venta.
Estaremos muy pendientes de estas investigaciones porque también creemos que el CBG puede suponer un antes y un después en el uso médico del cannabis en todo el mundo.

CBG, the most promising cannabinoid
We have already spoken on many occasions about the best known and most therapeutic cannabinoid, CBD. Of course THC is also known and therapeutic but it is not yet legal in most of the world. Today we want to put our eyes on another that is beginning to show all its qualities, the CBG.
CBG has been known since 1960 when it was discovered that it was the precursor to the rest of the cannabinoids, for that reason it is known as "The mother of all cannabinoids". Like all cannabinoids, it points out that it can help in the fight against cancer.
All this means that researchers are putting all their interest in discovering all its peculiarities, if in the end it is shown that its therapeutic benefits are as broad as it seems, we would have a first-rate medical tool without the problems of production, distribution and sale.
