Un grupo de investigadores italianos hicieron público la semana pasada el desubrimiento de dos nuevos tipos de cannabinoides entre los más de 300 químicos:
El Tetrahidrocannabiphorol (THCP) y el Cannabidiphorol (CBDP)
Dichos científicos afirman que el Tetrahidrocannabiphorol (THCP) es mucho más potente que el Tetrahidrocannabinol (THC) aunque se desconoce todavía con exactitud dado que únicamente se ha probado en ratones de laboratorio y como se ha podido comprobar, resulta mucho más activo que el THC.
El otro cannabinoide descubierto se llama Cannabidiphorol (CBDP) y es de la familia del CBD y podría ser utilizado a favor del sector de la salud por sus posibles propiedades anticonvulsivas y antiinflamatorias.
Los científicos utilizaron una variedad llamada FM2, con muy bajo contenido en THC y consideran que en un futuro han de hacer más investigaciónes con variedades de mayor índice de este compuesto para obtener nuevos resultados que aporten algo más de luz.
«De hecho, creemos que el descubrimiento de estos fitocannabinoides similares
al THC y al CBD , extremadamente potentes puede arrojar luz sobre varios efectos
farmacológicos no atribuibles únicamente al THC», mencionaron los
autores.
Cabe mencionar que un artículo publicado por el portal HealthMJ menciona posibles contratos en el sector de las bebidas para beneficiarse de
sustancias como el CBD, el THC o, próximamente, el THCP podría tener también una cabida en el sector no solo medicinal si no hasta productos cosméticos y aceites.
