El mercado europeo del cannabis medicinalcada añpo tiene un valor mas
alto. El año pasado estubo cercano a los 240 millones de euros.
El país más poblado de Europa, Alemania, también es el mercado más
importante de cannabis medicinal del continente y tendría un valor
estimado que se aproximaría a los 170 millones de euros. El mercado
interno alemán y a año tras año, sigue ascendiendo en solicitud y
recetas entregadas por el seguro de salud. Entre el 2018 y el 2019, este
aumentó en un sesenta y siete por ciento, unas cifras que no paran de
escalar.
Por detrás de Alemania, estarían otros países como Italia o Países
Bajos y donde 20 millones de euros para los primeros y 10 millones para
los segundos, serían las estimaciones de su valor interno. Un ejemplo
sería Italia, que entre los años 2018 y 2019 sus ventas aumentaron casi
un cincuenta por ciento. Por otro lado, en los Países Bajos este
aumento solo llegaría a un cinco por ciento.
Hay otros
países europeos que tienen un número muy pequeño de pacientes como
Dinamarca y dondese vendieron productos por un valor de 7 millones de
euros el año pasado. Aunque este país puso en marcha un porgrama piloto
de cannabis medicinal para tratar un pequeño número de pacientes, y
tiene concedidas hasta cuarenta y cuatro licencias, el año pasado aún no
se habían distribuido a pacientes daneses ningún producto fabricado
allí.
En el mercado de las flores frescas, en Alemania habría disponibilidad
en la actualidad de unas treinta variedades distintas. Aunque en este
caso, se espera que se vaya ampliando el catálogo de cepas con las
diferentes composiciones de cannabinoides.
Otra categoría de productos de cannabis medicinal serían los
cannabinoides aislados. Éste sería un mercado en alza que llegaría al
30% de las ventas reembolsadas en Alemania. En Austria por ejemplo, este
tipo de producto sería la gran mayoría de sus ventas y existiendo
problemas con el suministro.
Europa será uno de los mayores mercados del mundo de cannabis medicinal
sino el mayor. A medida que las diferentes naciones europeas vayan
aprobando el mercado medicinal de la planta, las cifras irán aumentando.
En el continente europeo, su mercado de cannabis medicinal aún no está
maduro; pero su semilla ya está plantada y en los próximos años veremos
aumentar estas cifras exponencialmente.
