Christelle Ratignier-Carbonneil, subdirectora de la Agencia Nacional de Seguridad de Medicamentos (ANSM) el miércoles 22 de enero de 2020 anunció que planean comenzar a experimentar en septiembre de este mismo año.
“El objetivo es que el experimento se pueda ofrecer a los pacientes al comienzo del año académico 2020, en septiembre” comentó.
"Nuestro único objetivo sigue siendo la calidad de los productos que deben estar disponibles para los pacientes"
Se contará con más de 3.000 pacientes para realizar este experimento; pacientes que están bajo cuidados paleativos, o padecen enfermedades graves, epilepsia, esclerósis múltiple, efectos secundarios de la quimioterapia...
Aún así, este tratamiento con cannabis para uso médico solo se autorizará si fallan otros tratamientos existentes.
