En el imaginario común a menudo se piensa que la capital de Australia es Sydney, pero no, ¡es Canberra! una ciudad poco conocida en comparación con las

El 1 de Febrero, en esta hermosa ciudad, entró en vigencia la controvertida nueva legislación
sobre el cannabis en el ACT . Las leyes han sido ampliamente descritas como
las primeras en Australia en legalizar el uso personal de la marihuana.
Sin embargo, eso no es exactamente lo que hace la legislación de ACT:
simplemente elimina las sanciones penales y financieras por poseer y
usar pequeñas cantidades de la droga.
Por lo tanto el cannabis ya no es una sustancia totalmente prohibida. Aunque, no se
pueda fumar en un lugar público o cerca de un niño.
También se han puesto otra serie de normativas básicas que dictan que solo se podrá fumar, comer o consumir cannabis en el hogar.
No se puede
almacenar donde exista un fácil acceso para los niños y, tampoco
se puede ir a otro estado vecino donde las pequeñas cantidades si estén castigadas.
No se puede tampoco, dar,
compartir o vender plantas o semillas, o, por ejemplo, no se
podrá compartir un porro al estar cometiendo el delito de suministrar
una sustancia "prohibida".
El gobierno del ACT con esta medida no busca alentar el consumo, buscará ayudarles a regular su consumo y a llevar un contol de esta planta.
